Mike joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2013. Prior to that, Mike worked as an attorney. His extensive legal background is well suited for business development, in addition to representing owners and tenants in the sale and leasing of industrial properties in Orange County.
Mike Adey is a Senior Associate located in the Orange County office of Cushman & Wakefield. As a member of the Cushman & Wakefield Industrial Advisory Group (IAG), a national practice group dedicated to delivering best in class service to industrial clients, Mike actively supports Jeff Chiate in the representation of both institutional clients and high net worth private clients in the acquisition and disposition of industrial investment properties in the Western U.S. Mike has completed more than 50 investment sales assignments valued at over $1.5 billion.
Prior to joining the Chiate-Ellison team, Mike worked as an attorney. He has extensive experience with contract negotiations, document review, and client advocacy. His distinctive combination of legal training and client communication skills, has allowed Mike to play an active role in the sales of industrial properties locally and nationally. Additionally, Mike is responsible for developing new business, market and asset-specific underwriting, deal management and deal execution.
Mike received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Merrimack College and his Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law. He is a 2015 graduate of NAIOP’s Young Professionals Group and serves as a co-chair for the NAIOP Mentorship program. Mike is also an active member of AIR, NAIOP, and ULI. He resides in Irvine with his wife and daughter, where he enjoys coaching lacrosse in his free time.
